Interesting. Does this mean that the GFV on the "pay 50% ish now and the rest in 2 years" deal is what is owed in 2 years time? If it is then the GFV they gave me for 3 years for the HSE (£17k and change) doesn't seem unreasonable.
I think an option of a 60% now, 40% in 3 years deal might be more interesting?
What are the best offers out there for a D4 HSE? V8NOT - because it's a diesel of course!

My dealer says that the deposit is geared to the mileage you tell them you will cover, but I believe it is also linked to the purchase price and possibly the credit score.
He also says that the GFV is set by LR to be low enough for there to be equity in the car to change the vehicle at two years for something new, thus generating new car sales. The GFV only really becomes real if you decide to hand back the car after the 24 months.
Otherwise you are just paying cash for the car with two payments two years apart with no charge for the credit 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

I am hoping that there will be a replacement Defender in 2012 which will be about the right time to change the D4, and having paid for it I will have a nice substantial part ex deposit on a Defender2 or whatever they call it. 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE
