Bought a used TDV6 in December of 2011 - just in time for the holidays. Boy was I glad I didn't have to cram kid, wife, mum and myself into those overcrowded trains!!
Having had an Opel Corsa before the LR3, I reckon it's obsolete to point out the difference
We got it with 112k kms on the clock, but then again - it's a diesel so it should do a few more kms. Here's a few specs (pics are to follow):
Tonga green
tinted windows
2 sets of 18" alloys
7-seater
beige leather interior
Premium Audio system
sun roofs
Time has come to change tyres - weather sure tells me to.
I will get Pirellis - just not sure if it's going to be the Scorpion ATR or Verde?! Got the Zeros mounted now and Pirelli is the way to go. NB: that's just my opinion
The guy I chose to be taking care of my Disco 3 from now on told me they had an SOS about the front diff in their LR software programme. Don't ask me what that programme's called though. Seems like that front diff tends to leak oil and most probably I will need to get a new one.
Let's see.
That's it for now. Cheers everyone.

Thanx bigdave.
This website has given me numerous inputs ... and incentives ... to go bonkers with my LR3

Well, the diff was actually completely worn. My mechanic had an LR SOS alert in his software about a leaky front diff - a production fault.
When he replaced it, he found it to be quite rusty and just shy of failing altogether! Now the car drives like a dream.
Of course this is also partly due to the new tyres I had fitted: Pirelli Scorpion ATRs in the dimensions 255/55 R18. Fantastic tyre this one indeed. Rather quiet too.
Then I had the 120k service done. Changed all filters plus engine and gearbox oils.

How many kms has engine life (diesel 2.7) in average to replace it?
