For all you US members, I have the new and latest 2009 disc working great with the 1791 Hack. I did it exactly the same way as all the others too. You can do it yourself, or contact me for more information. PM me and I'll fill you in...
However, if your 1791 does not work... sorry, it will never work. No one's figured out a way to revert to an older firmware. This is just the newest DVD, minus the update file that blocks 1791. So ie. it will let those of us still using the 1791 hack, will be able to continue using it with the latest maps.
