Armoured wheels on our Land Cruisers in Iraq had run flat tyres, don't know how else they would be armoured if they are alloy. B6 designated Armoured vehicles had a steel box built within the interior of the vehicle to fit over the standard panels, including floor, roof bulkheads doors and rear quarters. They looked like standard interiors at first glance. The engine / radiator / battery box was also protected by steel plates. The windows were 35mm thick bullet proof glass (Non opening). The vehicles would withstand small arms fire / AK 47's, small explosives but not RPG's (Rocket Propelled Grenades) They were a bit heavy but the 5.3 ltd V8's helped the performance. They also had a relatively high centre of gravity and could be turned over during excessively sharp turns. They did feel safe though!

Looks pretty bad, I did say they wouldn't withstand large explosives or RPG's. I've seen them where they looked like a colander and no one was hurt. Some pretty big holes in the rear passenger door. What happened to the occupants?
