United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Buckingham BlueDiscovery 3
1st service price match

I was phoning around a few local landrover dealers to try and compare 1st service prices, most dealers were £350.00 including my local dealer Copley Landrover who i am pretty happy with apart from the £350.00 1st service price tag.I called the landrover dealer in Telford (ref a thread i read on here) who said the could do this for £268.00 so i was planning to take a day trip to Telford then i called the dealer in Settle who quoted the same price so i phoned Copley and spoke to the service manager and said i really wanted to keep my business with them so he agreed to match the £268.00 Razz Razz Razz An £80.00 saving for a few phone calls and they will collect and drop off bonzer!!

Guy Salmon in Stockport quoted me £350 all in for my first service, with a promise to see if they could price match or beat a better quote when I said I was going to phone around Confused

Hmmm - 200 mile round trip from my house to Lakeland LR - at 30mpg (yeah right) thats 6.5 gallons / 30 litres @ 88p per litre = £27 there or thereabouts - I think I'll speak to SWMBO about a day trip Coniston ...

A big thanks for that quote (sorry I couldn't make the trip up there and give you the business) but it helped me save some cash.

I went back to GS Stockport at lunch today to book mine in. Starting from Monday's quote of £350, the lovely Abigail on Service Reception priced it at £312. When I mentioned the Lakeland Quote + Fair Fuel Costs of £260, she promptly reduced the price to £270 for me Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2016 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Corris GreyDiscovery 4

Just booked my TDV6 HSE in for first service (15000m) at Williams Landrover Manchester and got qouted £285 with no prompting about other prices from else where, have been using them for the last 6 years on my previous TD5 and always had good service from them in the past. so i think i will let them do it at that price.

Car's in today - just got the call from GS everything OK except "we've found a nail in a sidewall which will need a new tyre" - was quoted £150 to change the tyre Evil or Very Mad but fortunately they've got none in - I'm sure I can do better at CostCo ...

How do you guys get your tyres on and off the rims if you are buying them loose (!). Do you have to run down to quikfit and ask them to do it?

I've always wondered............

Costco fit tyres so why would they need to go elsewhere. Also they use Nitrogen to fill them as they say it prolongs the life of the tyre and helps prevent blowouts or something. They are VERY cheap too. See this http://www.costcoconnection.com/connection/200410/?pg=17 link for details.
