1st Service Time

Ok peeps. Local main Dealer (not where I bought it) want £480+ to do the first service on my Disco. Shocked Shocked Which I believe is just an oil change and a kick the tyres! Another local company who are a LR approved service centre want half that amount for the same thing. They are also incidentally a great set up and whom I have a lot of respect for. So would you pay twice as much for a fancy stamp in the book over someone no one has heard of?

PS Seeing as the car is worth squat probably going to keep it forever, so it shouldn't matter.

If they are LR approved then you will be covered warranty wise still. But only if they are approved by LR for the latest models.

Also try a few other main dealers - my 1st service was £280 or something like that last year (I think... not sure without looking).

Or call Yeovil and mention the forum / PM TheLargeOne (Nick).

Oh, and its more than just an oil change, they should check quite a bit to ensure all is OK since leaving the factory.

You have to pay for first service in Blighty?

Service is covered here for 45,000 miles for FREE - the only things they don't cover are brakes and tires.

That was a big deciding factor for me when convincing SWMBO Thumbs Up

My local stealership do FREE oil changes for life as well, and a free loaner car - for vehicles bought from them.

Not sure if the FREEness will continue, what with the economy and everything - but I got it locked in for this car at least! Mr. Green
