We've just come back from a month at our place in Haute Garonne, my first lengthy outing with the D3 which behaved beautifully.

Again, a few UK D3's knocking around, although I did spot a local one in St Gaudens. Given the ridiculous prices of cars in France, I reckon that D3s are the preserve of the wealthy few.

We've just returned from our French trip. Covered just over 2600 miles in three weeks. Travelled down the Atlantic coast as far as Ile D'Oleron then back up through the Loire valley ending up in Normandy.

The car was virtually faultless, apart from the nearside front pad squealing for large parts of the trip, something that was supposed to have been put right at the service carried out just before we left. Back to the dealers on Monday morning. Apart from that the car was great. Carried all our camping gear and brought back around 130 bottles of wine and 200 of beer from Calais, though the economy dropped from 31 MPG to 30 on the trip to Zeebrugge then from Hull back to Edinburgh with the extra weight.

France was great with some superb campsites. This was our favourite - http://www.campinglebrevedent.com/en/presentation.htm. A really quiet and peaceful place.

Cheers.

Coming home via a slight detour in Germany:

1200km in one day from Holland to Nice and the FFRR was simply faultless. Could have turned round and gone back during the night without sleeping! Shocked
