disco - where did you hear/see/learn about this "Himalaya"?

It might be an inventive dealer who has a couple of 2.7 TDV6s that they have put a couple of factory (or aftermarket) options on and packaged as the "Himalaya" in the hope of selling them off now that the bio-diesel capable engine has been built.

I understand it to be a "Limited Edition". I looked at the Metropolis but I don't need the childern entertainment stuff like DVD in rear and am not too attracted to the chrome bits and so was thinking about getting a HSE.

I would really like something a bit different.

disco - you couldn't go wrong with an HSE I imagine.

It has all the bells and whistles and besides, you can then plan what later extras you need to add whilst you have the pleasure of driving around in what I think must be the world's most affordable best 4WD.

Leigh - but then I am biased.

I think you are right - a dealer thing, it says "Exclusive to Guy Salmon"

No - getting pretty close now though. Trying a Touareg for a few days at the moment and then it is decision time.

nathan,

as always there are some GREAT pics on your site.

By the way, if you get two rear RRS SC black badges they will fit better to the front grill... or did you just stick on top of the standard badge ?? Can't quite make it out.

cheers

PS I am starting to really like white D3's !!

Shame on you nate and cat

Ah, good eye! I think you are refering to this photo:
http://nwoods.smugmug.com/photos/91847341-L.jpg

That is a stick on black oval, placed there just recently by a LRNA-PAG Special Projects guy (Land Rover North America at the Premier Automotive Groups NA headquarters).

The car had some of the custom paint work begin to fail (there were many layers of paint underneath, that were not properly primed - remember this was an internal test bed for alternate paint schemes). So when he provided the replacement properly painted bits, he added that Special Projects black oval. I kinda dig it, though it does appear to be just a snap on affair.

What cat?
