my 2 week roadtrip

so right before i graduated college about a year ago, i had about 2.5 weeks to kill before i had to drive back home to cleveland from denver for graduation. i had never been west of colorado in my life and so before i had to drive home, my parents offered as a graduation present to fund a solo 2 week roadtrip all over the western U.S. in my new LR3. being really into skiing and skimboarding, i packed up my skis and skimboard, a bunch of clothes, and a sleeping bag (with the rear seats folded down, the LR3 makes for excellent lodging complete with a view of the night sky). my trip was the following:

denver, co > park city, ut > lake tahoe, ca > mammoth, ca > san francisco, ca > santa cruz, ca > drove the CA coast via the PCH > los angeles, ca > laguna beach, ca > las vegas, nv > denver, co

here are some pictures from my trip

i have to say, if you can drive the coastline of CA, do it. it's gorgeous.

thanks for the photo compliments guys. i was blown away by how amazing some of the views in the western u.s. were. denver and the surrounding region have some pretty incredible views, but some of the sunsets in the canyons in the desert and the cliffs of the pch along the CA coast were unreal !!! if you have the time to take a similar trip dont even think twice about it, pack your stuff and start driving!
