For now, I have left my Discovery with Dartford Transmissions for some maintenance jobs. And I gave in and scrapped the Fiesta. Still got the Golf though. Still awaiting the outcome of the insurance claim as I put in a formal complaint.

Just catching up on the Tonga D3 Very Happy - great that damage will be repaired (but sucks that it happened in the first place!) - got to love wind deflectors, loved mine so much got some for my brothers D4 so we could be all matchy matchy Shocked Laughing

Wanted to ask - did the de-cat make a difference in performance, economy e.t.c.?

The decat gave a little extra bottom end grunt, and seemed to free up performance at the top end too Whistle

However, all that power took its toll and now I have a split intercooler hose Rolling with laughter But to be fair, the hose is the original one from factory, so not too bad. I have now ordered a silicone replacement.

My car also had new track rods fitted this evening and the passenger sidestep had all but detached from the car, so cut what metal was still holding on to release it properly. Tomorrow it will be getting the tracking done. Then parked up until my replacement hose arrives.

Well.... the green tank is off the road again Shocked Rolling Eyes Tracking was attempted by a good friend and not done correctly, got home and would have gone back but the turbo boost hose has gained a massive split, so I have ordered a silicone replacement, and parked it on my drive for now. I will chuck the car into a local garage I have used before for wheel alignment next week and if the weather is ok, I will do the hose next weekend if I also get time after working on customers cars. On the plus side, I only finally got the little Ibiza I bought off of my neighbour ages ago, all fixed and hopefully will get that sold soon. So will be on the lookout for another project soon. (Ibiza is not advertised on here).

Silicone boost hose now fitted, but something feels off with the steering, so still not using it for now.

Decided to make sure my car is heard, added this horn to work with the standard horn.

Happy to report that my Discovery is giving minimal trouble. A calliper replaced less than a year ago has become faulty so that is being done for free on Friday. Gave it a wash at the weekend, and not covering many miles in it at the moment as I use my BMW for commuting. And thinking about selling my blue Discovery as it has been in storage over a year now.

I am cheating on my Discovery 3 this weekend, testing a customers Discovery 4 to try and replicate a fault for the weekend. My Discovery is barely being used at the moment as I have been using my latest ddition to the fleet. A Volvo XC90 in OAP Gold.

Also my D3 is awaiting warranty work on the brakes so don't want to risk making issues worse.

Well, my Discovery has been awaiting internal to the company warranty for my faulty brakes for around 6 weeks now, so still not able to use it as my daily. Hoping to get it back from Dartford soon. As much as I am loving the comfort of my OAP gold Volvo, it's not a Discovery. On that note, I am on the look out in the near future for a Discovery 4 commercial Auto 2.7.

And I have decorated the cars for Christmas.

Hoping to drive some byways this coming week too.

Hope everyone is having a great Christmas

Been all over Norfolk in the Tonga Green beast. Grabbed a bargain trailer, driven through a Ford, driven several byways and explored many historical sites, and saw Seals for the first time in person in my life and still more exploring to do. Definitely don't regret taking this motor out of my fleet for this trip.

Final full day in Norfolk and using the TW2 app, found a green lane right near where I was. I checked to see if it had any restrictions and thankfully it didn't. So I decided to drive through it. I was very sad to see fresh off piste driving damage, but for me, I stuck to the trail and kept it slow in low range all the way. Wish the trip wasn't ending in the morning. But I am sure we will find adventures on the way home.
