2005 D3 SE - Towbar and bluetooth questions
I think my D3 might be the only one in the world not fitted with a towbar or even the electrics.
I am planning on getting a caravan so need both.
It seems I can buy a new fixed towbar (Witter not JLR) for about the same price (£180-200) that I'd pay for a decent second hand detachable towbar (and I know some of those have proven troublesome).
Is is really that much of a "no brainer"? I don't mind the towbar being permanently fixed.
Bluetooth - as it's an early car with bluetooth I have to pair my phone every time I get in. I was looking for something else on the IID thread and it seems one can use the IID to update bluetooth so this won't be needed - i.e. it'll remember my phone. Could this update be done at a dealer/specialist?

I knew from the year what you would have as well
you can rip out the wiring and fit a factory kit ...just need a module and most cable ...you can use the exsisting steering wheel switch and mic
then enable it with the IID toolG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks - considering I've lived with it as it is for so long I'll probably leave it alone - it might have been worth a go for a few quid/minutes but that's starting to sound a bit involved

Consider the Tow Trust TL1 towbar.
Many people on here like it, slightly lower profile than the LR / Witter version.
Just put one on mine. Many threads relating to Tow Trust on here

Hey, trying to understand the Bluetooth Shizzle, or ideally find someone who sorts this shizzle who’s not too far, I’m in Huddersfield.
Any recommendations for services to fix D3 ‘09 Bluetooth for using my iPhone?
I’m a helpless, one-armed female biker that knows feck all about cars or electrics. Heeeelpppp 🙈😂
