I have a '05 LR3 V8 with 183K miles. I just had the water pump and radiator replaced. The truck has been having an issue where the RPMs fluctuate (by a couple hundred rpms) when I'm driving. There is also a loud knock sometimes when I come to a complete stop. The RPM fluctuations do not occur when I am giving the truck a lot of gas. I stuck it in manual and it seemed to help, but came back I think in 4th gear. From my research, it could be either the torque converter, or the solenoids. Is this correct?
Here are the readings I got with my tool, when the RPM fluctuations start, Solenoid 1 turns on. However, the other ones have pressure/amps while Solenoid 1 does not. What does this mean, is it a bad Solenoid?
I cleaned the MAS, as well as the Throttle Body. The issue still persists. I purchased a can of BG44K and will add it to my truck when it comes in. I plan on replacing the PCV Valve. Also read that it could be an ignition capacitor. Is a TCM flash advisable? I have an IID tool.

Thanks everyone. I think I will try to add some Dr. Tranny to it as I can't afford a rebuild of the Trans right now. I've looked through three threads regarding applying it to the truck. One had photos, but I can't seem to pinpoint what pipe it is that I need to put the Dr. Tranny into. Can someone point me the right direction? Does the pipe come out of the radiator?

Your transmission doesnt need a rebuild you just need to replace the torque converter.
If you add Dr Tranny one of the things that it does is react with the seals causing them to swell slightly and seal better this usually fixes a lot of issues but its only short term the seals will quickly wear and adding Dr Tranny wont work again.
You will then need to have to have a transmision and torque converter replaced.

Oh wow, I’ll hold off on the Dr. Tranny then. In regards to the TC, a local mechanic that specializes in foreign brands basically told me that if they’re replacing the TC they’ll have to do the whole transmission and it would be $6000? I guess I should call around asking just for a TC replacement. I don’t know if shops around me are competent enough but we will see.
