2007 D3 TDV6 problems

G'day folks,
we have only just taken delivery of our new D3 TDV6 and are having a few probs already, I hope we have not gotten something with a lot of citric in it.

1. steering pull to left - dealer fixed

2. engine sluggish down low when re -accelerating - dealar loaded a new software version to the ECU - apparantly

3. Now the engine sounds "funny" not sure how to describe it, like it is being a bit strangled. Seems to have normal power but is louder then I recal, maybe I'm getting
paranoid.

4. Fuel consumption now is "heavy" 1/4 tank for 120km
and half of that on the highway driving at no more then 110km/h

5. Dash lights now not working- checked fuses they are ok.

6. Trip computer dropped trip & km/100 readings

I had to lock the brakes to avoid an idiot who turned in front of me at lights today, surely they would not be enough to stuff things up?

Any ideas? On 3, 4, 5??

Very Frustrated so any ideas would be most welcome.

thanks
cheers
Peter

Sounds like you have been updated. The early vehicles were given a software update which did alter the engine note. It also addressed a slow pick up issue. Although yours is 07, so should have already had it?

If the dealer has updated the car, the trip info is reset, as is the miles/km odometer, and also the adaptive auto would forget its settings and have to learn again. This may explain more fuel used.

No idea on dash lights? are you sure the dimmer is not turned right down?

Car has done 120km since being at the dealer and was showing this distance along with the avg l/100km.

It dumped all this info tonight as well as the dash lights.

Yes have checked the dimmer and have even had the fuses out and done continuity test on them with a DMM.

This does not sound right. Probably a very simple fault, but not sure what to say. I would check the battery terminals are not loose, also check the earth points behind the trim to the right of the accelrator pedal.

Sorry, but sounds like a return to dealer may be your only option.

We only got this thing last Fri so will not be "fiddling" with it myself, Phone call to dealer first thing in the morning. They can sort it out.
