2007 ds3 tips!

Been to see another 07 plate d3.

Fsh and egr replaced 2014. No knocking upon braking and only advisory on mot was slight play on wheel bearing?

No record or cambelt being replaced. Its got 118k on the clock.

Heres where it gets interesting.

Ive negotiated that the dealer will do cambelt change and oil pump upgrade within the price of the car. £7995.00

Wear and tear on the interior which im not too concerned over as these can be sorted. Air suspension very responsive... up and down fast 3 times checked no issues found.

Epb working well.

Slight ticking on turn over like a bit of a knocking but not too loud that it made me worry.

To add.... the only thing i noticed was that when i drove that car it was just slightly sluggish.

It wasnt a huge issue and it did pull well.... but i drove the other 07 hse model they had in and the engine felt a bit tighter on that one. (If that makes sense)

Also, the previous owner of the car has made his own awful satnav screen which is has wired through to the dash where it would be on others.... is it possble/easy to get new dash plastics ... the bit that covers the radio and sat nav screen.

As a member of this great forum I have found that with the D3 keeping on top of the mantinance worked out great for me I Owen the car 7.5 years the longest ever car I owned, automatics go for a little more from what I’ve seen but as far as I am concerned as long as it’s been well maintained and the most common wearing parts already replaced you shouldn’t go far wrong good look
