Deposit paid, just awaiting collection (Xmas Eve)....the count down begins 
Black/black HSE! can't wait, bought from main $tealers for piece of mind & full warranty.
Will post up pictures once collected, its taken over 12 months for me to finally commit, having previously had BMW's for the last 15+ years.
Already impressed with the knowledge & advice on here & just ordered my disco3 sticker

Having been in exactly the same situation six months ago, I'm pretty sure you will enjoy the switch. Especially at this time of year.

You will love it. This is the first winter in our first D3 HSE and we're loving it. It's great in the snow. Just don't find a big car park and set to Sand while the wife is not looking

My first winter with my D3. It's toasty & warm after my Defender.
Turn on the heated seats, sit back & enjoy & enjoy.
You'll love it.

Good news, bad news.
Good news: picked up the car a day early.
Bad news: They managed to put new plates on it, with dealer names on, but got the reg wrong! 
Only 1 letter, but its wrong. Had to phone my insurance co. twice to change the reg no.
The strange thing is both reg. numbers quoted to the insurance co. come back with the same vehicle!
Only noticed when i got home, so the dealers are shut until tomorrow 
also, they managed not to rectify a few problems i point upon inspection
slight tear on passenger seat, not sorted as agreed
engine bay not cleaned as agreed
only 3 rubber mats supplied!! where is the 4th?
minor scratch on door not touched up
toffee stuck behind one of the rear seat belt buckles not removed, so much for the full valet!
no fuel in it, had to go & queue with sales guy to get fuel, "used cars only get £20" barely got enough fuel to make the light to go out. Made him wait while i put another 50 in 
Loving the car, not the dealer experience

Sounds exactly like my experience with Stratstone a fortnight ago, although I told them where to shove it and took my deposit back.
Sounds a great car despite the niggles; enjoy

Hopefully all will be sorted next week, including " a full valet" i was offered today, thought that should of happened prior to collection ??
I some how thought this would happen, even though i tried to convince myself everything would run smoothly.
