| My 2008 Base Stereo Head Unit |

I have an FM reception issue with my stereo.
Dealer is trying to find a fix.
LR technical have told them that the MY2008 Base head unit is different (improved) but is not compatable with the previous models console.
Is this just due to a dash colour change or is there a change of design of the dash?
If it is a different colour; how different? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

What's your FM issue?
My FM just plays static some times and then following several "re-starts" it comes good again.. Booked in for service next week so should find out.. 
Sorry can't help you with the MY08 spec radio.. What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

I have had all sorts of problems before most were fixed by a replacement unit.
Still have the FM signal thais weak and will drop out even in Collaroy to Mona Vale. Signal will drop out for a second or two then reapear when signal is weaker than line of sight.
Yours could be software related or a stuffed unit.

BTW is there any real change in the newer head unit? What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

Dealer has told me that they have changed the CANBUS on the 08 model and the new base stereo may not be compatable.
Made a new topic under technical.
I think they will still give it go though.
