I suppose in some ways a 130k model with a load of work done could be better than a 90k model yet to have a lot of these bits fail? I suppose its a case of weighing it up
As an anecdote I changed all fluids at ~193000 km (~ 120000 miles) on my D3, when I got it, just to be safe. Both diffs, transfer box and transmission fluids had certainly never been changed earlier. There were no slivers of silver in any of the oils nor did the transmission have any noticeable problems before... or since. ~5500 km later, no issues.
