2010 HSE Subwoofer not working

Hi all, I posted this elsewhere on the forum but didn't get any replies.

The tailgate mounted sub in our MY10 HSE has stopped working.

Has anyone come across this before?

Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon, have you checked cable under seat to amp and also connection to sub terminals in tailgate
They would be my first choice of reference

I’ll have a look tomorrow, thank you.
Trying to avoid taking the tailgate apart!

Hi all, I still have got round to looking in to this, thanks for the suggestions though.

I sat in the back for the first time ever yesterday and realised there’s no sound in the back at all!

Does the rear of the car (and sub) use a separate amp from the front of the car?

I would check this to /\

One amp and it powers all speakers and provides 2 channels to the sub.

Hi, thanks, I checked the sub settings but not the fader- would that knock the sub out too? I'll check this evening!

In the D3 the sub signal is related to the rear speakers. So if you set the fader to front, no sub. Stupid design....

If it supplies 2 channels, does that mean there's an option for adding an additional sub?

I suppose you could but you’d 1/2 the power to the original sub. The Amp is just a standard off the shelf that LR obviously chose to use 2 channels for the sub.

Probably more like it’s a duel voice coil speaker.
