As title, can an engine ECU from a 2012 D4 be used in a 2011my.
What settings might have to be changed (I have an IID tool)

In a word no, you need the facility to clone it and then a diagnostic tool to set it up after being cloned.
Your vin number and other security codes are stored in the ecu as well as some other ecu's, so a straight swap is a no go.
Gap might be able to sort it for you?.

probably won't waste my money then. Saw one at a good price and thought about buying it with a view to having one re-mapped and the other kept standard Thumbs Up Morris Dancers: Drinkers with A Dance Problem
