2013 D4 HSE Upgrade Audio from HIGH to Premium

Just taken delivery of a D4 which has everything I wanted apart from Logic 7 its low mileage 50k and is in really good nic....

I have been in the rear drivers quarter compartment and taken a picture of the current AMP installed.

Question Time:

1. Are the connectors the same on the CH32-19C164-BC can i just plug that in and use the existing speakers?

2. If the remaining speakers in the D pillars are not plugged in for a while is this going to make the system unhappy?

3. Were the actual speakers in the doors different or not if it had the logic 7 fitted by JLR?

I don't mind dropping a couple hundred quid on an amp but would like to have an idea how it will go together afterwards...

Yes think all wiring for surround sound should be there too

2. If the remaining speakers in the D pillars are not plugged in for a while is this going to make the system unhappy?
No

Hmm good question .. don’t think you’d notice once you’ve got the front centre and rear 2 installed Even if they were different. We need to see pics of what you have

Keep on eye on ebay for the amp, you should be able to get one on the cheap (I did)

Good luck and keep us posted on this thread Thumbs Up

PINOUT TO SEPERATE FRONT BASS DRIVER

So I managed to change the AMP over and the new one is working in place of the old one like a charm...

I've put it all back together and am setting out on the journey of separating the front bass speaker channel and installing the read D Pillar Speakers.

I have seen BBS SPY reference a full guide but can't seem to find it in his post history...

Has anybody else had any experience of this on the D4? Is there any advice or guides anyone can advise I look at before I start?

Thanks

Did the menu change on the audio settings for the new amp functions ie Dolby surround etc?

Was the wiring there for the D-pillar speakers?

So far as I can tell nothing has changed. Nothing in the menu anyway.

I didn't see the d speaker cables either but it's not going to be very hard to run them in.

I just need the pinouts, and I'll have a go at that too!
