I heard the stick shift + paddles rumour a couple of weeks ago from a normally reliable source. I posted elsewhere about it but didn't realise that stumpy was at least a month ahead of me!
Unless were both speaking to the same man, there might be something in this?
Personally, I'd be happy to see the silly dial go.

James, with what you're entering into that's not wise, your forthcoming SWMBO might bet the keys. U need the lower left to remind you of the bachelor life style.

Possibly a good idea. She's just left for her hen weekend so I'm back to bachelor life this weekend, I'm sat on the sofa in my boxers, having steak and coke zero for breakfast. Got the lads coming round tomorrow to watch Southampton play for promotion on BBC and spending the day on the beer.

The reason I ask is that I do a lot of research re Bomber Command in WW2, so you are in the tick of it so to speak. I also shoot at Rothwell near Caistor.

I was looking at footage of the D4 Land Rover Journey of Discovery(into China) on the ME LR fan page and saw the D4's with what looked like the old black wheel arches.
Difficult to judge if the paint is sandblasted or the black trim is full of dust and mud.
Any ideas?'09 LR3 4.4 HSE Zermatt Silver

Yes the 1,000,000th Disco was built with black arches and IMHO looks much better for it. If I didn't have black wheels I would have put them on mine. The lighter colours just look so slab sided with everything body coloured. I believe you can still order commercial D4's with black arches, so they're still being made?

Take a closer look. Especially at VX61CWF which is the Discovery that is the Millionth vehicle on the Beijing run....
