295/45/20 Grabbers & 20" 'V spoke' alloys problem
Ok just got back from local tyre fitter, 1.5 hours wasted!
Inner profile of tyre fouls the upper wishbone joint.
So.. next question... why?!
It's an 05 car so suspension issue is not the fault
I'm assuming the V style supercharger alloys are not the same offset as the stormers?
Running out of solutions and looking for ideas
PS:
The disco3 wiki needs to be updated for any future members who may be running these alloys.. 295 UHP Grabbers & V style 20" alloys do not fit57 RRS TDV8

Looking at these 10mm universal spacers,
The standard bolts look long enough to cope with additional hub offset, anyone have any remarks?57 RRS TDV8

I've just purchase some 9.5mm 5 stud universal spacers and will let everyone know how it pans out!57 RRS TDV8

I think these are the same type/size tyres ronp was running without any issues before he got the LTZ's, might be worth dropping him a PM I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Yes Ronp and a couple of others are indeed running the UHP's, but not on the V style supercharger alloys.
I was stupid to assume they had the same offset obviously (both developed for the RRS).57 RRS TDV8

you might want to edit the thread title to include the v-spoke problem, as it would appear the 295/45/20 UHP tyre is OK, but just not in tandem with V-spokes I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

This is the clearance I had with The 295/45/20 Grabbers on my Stormers.

My stormers stand more proud than the V spoke [even some other Stormers]
However, when I move to the LTZ'z I sold on the tyres to Discocuzzy.
DC then fitted them to his D3 on V Spokes [see pic below] and although neat, there was no fouling???
So seems very strange as to why they don't fit yours?

Tis a strange one.
The offside was within 2mm of the wishbone joint and I pursuaded them to fit the nearside (so we could lower the suspension and see if the geometry changed) and that side was touching the tyre wall... obviously they then flatly refused to carry on.
I've now bought four 9.5mm spacers (front & rear) so hopefully that'll be problem solved.57 RRS TDV8

Are the spacers 'bolt on' or do they the slip over existing studs.

The chaps at Kwik fit felt the studs were long enough to put spacers in.

if one side has clearence and the other side doesnt. surely there is something fundementally wrong here

Not that I know, the tyre guy said the width on these tyres vary, and the 295 is "nominal", so being we were so tight on one side, 2mm wasn't an unlikely variation between moulds57 RRS TDV8

Got a correction to make.
Whilst studying your wheels against Discocuzzys, I noticed that on that pic it's not the Grabbers he's got on.
But he did fit them to his V spokes.
Have you checked that your wheels are original LR ?I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
