| 3 years 6 months Old and engine needs to be replaced!!!!! |

Help what can I do, my Jan 59 Disco 4 needs new engine, No warning signs just engine stopped running whilst in motorway fast lane doing 70 mph, luckily 11pm at night and on downhill so was able to freewheel over to hard shoulder. Told by L/R that new engine is required believed seized. HAVE I GOT A CASE AGAINST L/R BUT 6 MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY. ANY HELP OR LEAD ME IN A DIRECTION.

If it has a full service history then you may have a case.
What's the mileage? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Will depend on mileage and whether it has full LR Service history and to a point what caused the failure.

Don't forget that UK consumer law IS NOT affected by warranty duration.
Warranty expiration DOES NOT matter. Its your legal rights under the sales of goods act and a product which is fit for purpose

Car bought from main dealer when it was 22 months old 15000 Miles, I have had it serviced by land Rover main dealers on time twice since. Not sure if to mention dealers as at this point do not believe they are at fault.

What is the present mileage; date of first registration, and if possible build date and/or VIN (omitting if you wish the last 2 or 3 numbers).
When was the last service; very recently?

Update;
I may need to get an independent inspection done of my seized engine, Would anyone know who would be able to do such an inspection in Dunmow Essex on TDv6 3.0 Unit on 59 plate discovery.
