D'oh Thought that was just parts! Mind you it is a 270 mile round trip for me and I need the two new recalls doing (fuel pump and brakes) and the hands free sound sorting. Plus they need to look at my horn as it is not working properly (and I keep blowing my fuse prematurely!) 2008.5 MY Discovery 3 HSE

They can still do all that you know
I've had a RRS HSE as a loaner before & a FL2 and my round trip is longer, but still worked out as more cost effective than the local Bodsys Brake Bible

Recent prices "oop North" have ranged from £350 to £500 - but the consensus seesm tobe TFC with no impact on warranty - or as the man says Yeovil.
The findings I got from looking round is that of the main LR dealers the service itself is exactly the same - so no point in paying higher prices.

I know Yeovil can do the Warranty/recall work trouble is if they need to order in a part I can't exactly pop back in to get it done. Yeovil is 130 miles away and means a day holiday and Lookers is only 23 or 30 minutes by train from the office and I can leave it with them and come back tomorrow if needs be. The service they gave me last time with progress calls etc was far better than any other dealer I've used before and also other marques (Audi/Jaguar/Mercedes/BMW) for that matter. 2008.5 MY Discovery 3 HSE

Lookers Stortford quoted me £451.85 for a 30k service, plus £54 for the MoT...........and then said oh no, you have a loyalty card, so that goes down to £361.48 and the MoT is free
I've no idea what the loyalty card is, but I'm damn sure I've got one somewhere
They also said that (looking at their records), the Disco doesn't need a 30k service, it needs the 3 year service - which apparently is a smaller service ('B' instead of 'A' I think he said ?) Jim

If those are the prices mine is due in about 4k miles, so it would be worth a trip to see TLO and the boys, as it would work out the same all in, if I was going to take it to my local dealer.....WHICH I'M NOT
I wonder what is the furthest anyone has travelled for a service ?
