3000 miles and counting.......

Well, I've now covered 3,000 miles since 2nd March, not as many as some on here, but enough to give me an insight to what I like and what I don't like.

What I don't like:-

No Speed Limiter (no, I mean a PROPER speeed limiter, not just a Bing that you can't hear with the stereo turned up)
Proper Bluetooth remote Sim Mode (or lack of)

What I DO like:-

EVERYTHING ELSE!

Ok, it may be only a couple of months into it & I'd really like to get the time to do more off roading, but I have no reason to quible about the car, although maybe it's because I'm more informed about the car & can tell the service people what they actually need to do to fix any potential problems,

Thanks Disco3 and thanks to all the very very very helpful members.

It may not be a 'Club' in the Members Comiitee Buerocracy(sp Embarassed ) red tape crap, but it certainly has the same feelgood factor for when you need it.

Thumbs Up

So I can stop myself from going too fast..... Confused

I was used to having a variable speed limiter on the Merc & just found it much more relaxing driving through roadworks etc if I set it at the right speed. Particularly long stretches of the M6....!

And because I'm lazy & can't be bothered to keep looking at the speedo to see fi I'm too slow/fast.

Personally I just found it the most useful feature on the car & that one feature kept me with Merc for an extra three years after looking at BMW Lexus Audi Volvo.

The limit signal on the Disco is just too quiet and the message dissapears from the display too quickly. Having said that, I wouldn't want a loud beep going off that wakes everyone up.

So come on LR let's have a proper Variable (set it on the move) Speed Limiter for the Disco 4 eh?

All the signals are there and I'm assuming the accelerator is linked elecronically? so it should be possible on all current versions with a decent software update.
