3994 miles

Got home last night at 23.30. No problems at all.
Best car I have Ever had by far. 29.61 miles to the gallon.
Drove through France,Spain and into Portugal down to the algarve and then back up to the north (viana do castelo).
All done in 2 weeks.
This morning got up, turn the engine on and the emissions amber light was on.... Rolling Eyes
Land rover assist came up and said it is the EGR valve that is playing up. It will be going to the dealers next week.
Overall a brilliant 2 weeks. And it is the first time I did this trip without breaking down... Laughing

Congrats on the Voyage, its good to see that it was done without breaking down, interesting because i,m doing a similar journey at Easter in a 57 Plate,
What i find scary is the fact that its the first time you have done it without breaking down ?
Then its eventually given up the ghost upon your return.

What have i let myself in for Whistle

As above, the EGR's cant be blanked "As far as i know"

Just out of interest what gremlins have you encountered in the past ?

Laughing

Phew !
Well i'm glad to say that i've left the Defender in the past and have NO plans to go back to one any time soon !

I;ve been driving them since i was a youngster, ive had 200, 300 I managed to skip the Td5 by purchasing a stunning Cobar Blue 300 Tdi on a T Plate and made the biggest mistake of my motoring portfolio by purchasing a brand new Puma Tdci
Big Cry
Much to the Wife's amusement she is trying to work out why i still have the D3 as every time she catches me on Pistonheads she doesent see an alternative on the drive a few days later.................

I,m looking forward to making the journey, not least because Last Year i very nearly got myself arrested at EMA on the way out AND managed to cause a Bomb scare on my return journey !
Rolling with laughter
Oh how i laughed !

Thanks for the heads up and most Importantly !

STAY AWAY FROM DEFENDERS Whistle Thay are seriously bad for your blood pressure !
