Chasing a fault in the old bus i have noticed hat the Vacuum pump doesn't seem to be working. Pump itself tests fine continuity through the fuse to relay and relay to pump is fine but no no 12 volts to the pump. i see on the wiring diagram the ECU switches ground to activate the relay that supplies the voltage to the pump. Question is , if anyone knows, is this. Is the ECU switching ground on ignition on ie the pump
RUNS all the time OR is there an input from another sensor to tell the ECU to turn the pump on and off . my next step, depending on what some sage on here might know, is to check continuity from ECU plug back to relay.
oddly enough i don't think the pumps been working for a fair while but have not noticed any brake issues.
