4th, 5th & 6th service!
My less than 2 year old disco is about to it's 64k/4th service.
When I bought it in the first place I took out the slightly misdescribed 50k/5year service pack at £699.00 (an utter bargain)
Today I've had two quotes, one off my 'regular' dealer who is 10miles away, the other off a highly respected dealer about 25miles away.
The nearer one wants to rape me of £666 for the 4th & 6th service and £514 for the 5th.
The one slightly further away wants £584 for the 4th & 6th service and £458 for the 5th.
Total difference of around £220.00, I have emailed the nearer one to see if they can match the prices.
Do either of these sets of prices match what I should be expecting to pay?
The other option is to use a good independent that is only 3 miles away. He said that he'd want 'about a grand for all 3' I haven't really had chance to get a proper price off him.
I anticipate that I'll be keeping this disco forever (at the very least 10years) so a full dealer service history isn't really going to have any influence on a resale price, my main concern is if any warranty work comes up, I really don't want to be arguing the toss for the sake of £600 now if it comes to a £10k engine!

For absolute peace of mind I'd stay with main dealers for the duration of the LR warranty and then start to shop around - doesn't guarantee anything but does strengthen your case should anything go horribly wrongCurrently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE
