4x4 info enable help - thought it would be a good first mod
Hi,
Decided to buy an iid tool having had a look at various posts, and thought would be helpful as I do a lot of the mechanics on the car myself and would enable me to a few of the simple / low risk mods myself.
Decided to try and enable the 4x4 info on my disc4 2010 XS, I enabled it on the tool (really didn’t like the car switching itself on and off! Lol) and it said it was suscessful but to no avail. Is it not hat simple? Reading a few post on here thought it was. Is there other things I need to do / check?
Thanks for any help,
Paul

You are aware the icon is normally on the extras tab of the home screen aren't you? - should literally work after enabling as far as I know.

Don’t think i have any extras menu, but looking on images on-line there is a gap in my home menu buttons on the screen where the 4x4 info one should be. Mines. 2010 so has the earlier type screen than the latest D4s.

I had it on my D4 HSE MY2010 but it had a color display and the satnav, too. Some D4s (at least LCV) have the smaller non-color display, is this the case with your XS?

Hi, it’s the larger colour screen I have with satnav , and annoying as there’s just a gap in the menu screen where the 4x4 button should. I should know by now what’s seems simple never is lol!

Went to reflash, and found it was there! After enabling it did say next time switch on and off, but did it a few minutes after. so obviously needed to leave it for longer!Doh.

Update the IPC between the revo and Speedo. Looks a lot more modern

Sounds good, do you have any pics? And how do you go about that?
Thanks,

With the IID tool, it’s under one of the menus (ECU) ISTR.
Flashing the IPC removes the shades and makes the display clearer. I liked the “after” more when I had my D4
