Assuming I decoded correctly what 54 plate means - so second half of 2005 - it’s possible for it to have Logic 7 as mine is manufactured around that time.

Also, I thought the difference between HK (hi-line) and HKL7 (premium) was the amplifier and cabling towards the speakers from the amp as there are more speakers in the latter. HK amp is silver, HKL7 amp is black. The 6CD-465 stereo should have been the same on both.

Hi,

The paper labels on the stereo etc. suggest they - at least- were made in 2004.
I definitely have a Logic 7 as the HK Logic 7 badges are there, the speakers, the function to turn it off/on and son is the black amp. However, I'm still left with this bizarre square peg round hole puzzle... I can't seem to find how they would connect?

Regards, Sam

I thought the same about the adaptive headlights but apparently not.
Either way, I know I have a Logic 7 but none of the cables seem to fit; certainly not the options that come up against my reg. Have you managed to successfully install anything on yours?

Cheers, Sam

My old D3 my54 had HK logic fitted, I fitted the same parrot as you are trying to fit without using a SOT cable, it lasted a few weeks before I took it out and fitted a D4 module, 10 times better and far easier to fit than the Parrot, IMHO it works better and is easier to operate than in a D4.
My advice is scrap it and fit a D4 module, you only need a most cable as you have the HSE, takes 1/2 hour to fit Thumbs Up

I'm sure the D4 module is better but the Parrot for me is sufficient... plus I already have it left over from my Navara. Assuming the MOST cable is the orange fiber optic looking thing, it would surprise me if that's knackered too as my Navigation has never worked side I had the vehicle!

The amp! The amp! The harness connects at the amp!!! - Phone call to Connect2 who informed me as it's a fiber optic system, there's no speaker connections at the head unit!
Right, so LR left loads of room under the driver's seat... a few swear words later and I've managed to get the leads in but no power... there's a blue ignition live wire with the kit; any ideas where to pick an ignition live up from near to where the amp resides?

Arh I see, the kit is meant to be fitted at the amp! Well done.

I thought HK amp is black HKL7 amp is silver.
Be careful UK cars are higher speced than other places. e.g Finland

at the front of the seat there is a harness with that ford logo on.

See if there is a Green wire with pink stripe. That should be ignition.

Note this connector moves with the seat, so leave slack

Otherwise you could connect to the rear cigar lighter or front one. or somewhere under the fridge armrest

My D3 is originally a Dutch import. The manual even has Dutch stamps and all. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up At the time there were several organizations importing Land Rover vehicles into the country; Inchcape Motors Finland and SCC. Inchcape was (and is still) the official distributor (they were also a reseller but aren’t anymore) while SCC did grey imports out of Dutch (and German I think) stock.

FWIW the HKL7 amp really is black.

Puncture,
Have you ever finished this install? I want to do the same thing (Parrot 9100 and D3 with HK7), but it is still not clear to me how to achieve this. My local Parrot installer struggled with it, checked with Parrot headquarters even, and supposedly got an answer that there is no way to make it work in my setup with this premium amp...
I refuse to believe that, given that some of you seem to have gotten it to work, and there were at least to SOT cables mentioned specifically for HK7:
