6 DVD changer on rear seat entertainment |
|
I have a MY10 with the factory rear seat entertainment, it has the 6 x DVD changer in the rear cubby hole in the boot. When I load 6 new DVDs I need to eject the cassette a few times before it recognises all 6 DVDs on the front screen.
Does anybody else have this issue?
If so do you think just a new cassette would fix the problem or do I need a whole new changer.
I've been trying to work out the spare part and on the internet it points to the changer being an Alpine unit even though on the front it is not branded.
The part number on the cassette is 5H22-18C833-BA but on the internet XQZ000050 seems to be it. Visually it looks right.
Any help on advice or part numbers of cassettes or whole changer unit?
Thanks

When I had that system I was told they suffer from dirt and crud getting into it due to the location
Suggest a can of compressed air with a nozzle and go over the terminals in the receiver once you've ejected the cassette MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car

If that is the case, how about one of those cleaning discs you insert and run for a while? Sorted out my DVD player at home. Gary

Its the loading of the 6 DVDs thats the issue, thanks on trying compressed air, tried it, it made no difference. A CD cleaning disc won't hep as the other suggestion as its a mechanical issue.
Does anyone know if the system is an Alpine one?
