Try a search, it will either be wiring short or more likely compressor, loads to read as you wont be the first.

Sounds like you need a new compressor, then. It's either getting too hot or there is too much resistance elsewhere in the system for the compressor to deal with. I'm not sure a compressor should run for 15 minutes constantly anyway. It is designed to maintain a given pressure in the air tank; it should not run constantly.
I had similar when I had the D3. Replaced the compressor to an AMK and all was good.

No. The relay is 70A rated (wide terminals), but the fuse is not up-specced. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Maybe the switch or its connector because it should stop when reaching normal

Not sure on the code as most start with B, U, C and P. Please check again.
Did you find the connector under LH front wheel arch

Not sure on that particular code as it may be specific to the tool you are using to read the code. code C1027 is more than likely power to the compressor so looks like a bad connection/rotted wire as you have checked fuses and relay.
Someone with the same tool may be able to throw some light on it.
