This road between Eversley and Aborbfield must have more D3's per yard than anywhere I've ever driven, this morning, about 13.30, Siver, towing a tintent, Red one, Black HSE in Bluebeckers car park, then another two black ones not including mine! All driving towards Reading, I was heading towards Yateley.
All within the space of a 15 minute drive. Welcome "Lola"

I agree - there are loads of them around here.
But of course - very few with disco3 stickers on them
(Or maybe I'm just blind ...)

Could one of those black ones have been a buckingham black?
I drove between Eversley and Aborbfield yesterday and haven't put my new reflective sticker on yet.
Mind you, I think we may have been on alternate parallel universes - my morning finished before yours!

The reason is simple, there is an irresistable deep ford through the river Blackwater is just off the A327 (New Mill Lane) between Eversley and Arborfield. Just taken my D3 for a swim on the way home tonight ! Copes every bit as well as my previous Defender.

I can't think of too many 'road' fords in the UK as good as this one. It is about 70' across and most of the year averages about 18" deep. In the winter it is more like 2ft, apart from after super heavy rain when it goes quickly to 5ft and requires the use of a boat rather than a Landrover. I find that the side-current gets a bit too interesting over 2.5 ft, and have seen Landy's wedged under the footbridge when things go wrong !! There are another good pair of fords a few miles downstream on the River Blackwater below Farley Hill.

There's anthor one near Whistley Mill. Mate of mine drowned his brand new Beemer in there a year or so ago.
Serves him right, he had to exit via the sun roof Welcome "Lola"

Near Charvil, type in "whistley green" into multimap. Can't recall what road exactly but not far from there. Welcome "Lola"

It's just near where I live.
Next to the Lands End pub near Whistley Green.
There's even a photo here.
I've floated a couple of times in the D3 after the floods earlier this year - but it was fun Rob aka gringle
