I have checked, and I have a red wire on pin4 on the main wiring harness or engine wiring harness if you like, but not in the headlamp it self. its an empty slot. Headlamp has 7 pins, pin 1,9, and 12 is black wire on it. in pin 10 i have Blue with Grey trace and pin 11 blue with pink trace on LH and blue/black, Blue/pink on the RH wiring. and a red wire on pin 4 on both wiring harness connector.
So if im lucky i can use my multimeter and check on pin 4 and gnd and see if anything happens.
I have a donor CJB stripped out of its housing so i can see where things are located.

5&6 are twisted pair
7&8 are twisted pair
15&16 are gold plated pins

Thank you col07 Brilliant, that is a huge help. What did you do for pins in the headlight plug? Did you buy them somewhere. Are they the same pins as the adaptive ECU by any chance?

I bought two new headlight plugs complete with pins from www.simtekuk.co.uk. The adaptive ECU plug was a bit more tricky. They are Tyco AMP plugs. Housing part number is 1717112-1, the tinned pins are 1674311-1, and the gold plated pins are 1674311-2. I ordered the housing and pins from www.mouser.com. They ship from Texas but are really quick. A bit pricey with the shipping added on, but only place I could find them at the time. I ordered the wiring I needed from Simtek along with the headlight plugs. The pins for the CJB connectors are different from headlight and adaptive ECU but I had an old dash loom so I harvested the pins from that and soldered on the wires. To be honest - If I was to do it again, I would probably do what BBS_Spy has done and find a second hand loom - strip out the cables I needed to make an overlay for my existing loom.

I have the ECU, plug and pins, bi-color cables and headlights already. I couldnt find a loom so bought the pieces up separately. I see the headlight connectors with pins on simtekuk website so all i need to find now are the pins for the cjb connector.

I used Amp Multilock female pins from Simtek. They are the right size for the male pin in the CJB, but they don't lock into the connector housing properly. I had to gently force them into the housing and they have stayed put despite having disconnected and reconnected several times.

What bulbs are used in the corner lights - are they same as the spots? I have push out or push in shaped plugs that leave a shaped orific, the plugs of course push into the lamp which means the main lamp has to be split to get it out
I have the factory fit red feed wire but as yet I have failed to get any power to it, dare I say it but the Iid tool has two corner lamp options in the CCF, they are just numbered 1 and 2 enable disable. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

If it's just cornering lamps you're enabling, you need to enable both. Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

Yes just cornering, I have tried 1 or 2 but not both. Do the bulbs just screw in like the fog lights or do they need a separate holder?
Thanks.It can when others can't,

Not quite sure exactly what you mean? They should just twist in?Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

Installed everything, enabled adaptive and corner 1&2 with iidtool. During the self test on startup, the drivers side light never goes up and down, just right and left. Sometimes the AFS warning light flashes on dash after about 15 seconds and sometimes it doesn't and the lights operate fine(except driver side not going up/down). They move with the steering and corner lights come on with steering and indicators. Double checked all wires, fuses and changed the O/S headlight with same result. No errors get logged. What a PITA

Problem was with a wire and everything is working perfectly now. Just a note, after adding the headlight ecu, you need to do an ecu scan with the iidtool to pick it up or you wont see any errors from it. Likewise with any other ecu you add. The corner lights are very good and a worthy upgrade especially if you already have the 2 wires for them.
BIG thank you to BBSSPY for the work you done (including D4 paddle/heated steering wheel conversion) which still helps disco owners years later and col07 for sourcing the connectors, pins and wiring locations.

Good job well done, It is a very good mod particularly if you live in an area with poor lighting.
As I am quite happy with just cornering lights and none adaptive xenon's could the adaptive ECU be fitted without adaptive Xenon's to operate the cornering light automatically? It can when others can't,
