Additional lighting in the boot
Hi,
A recent post about boot lights (@Narpy boot lights) got me thinking about modding the upper tail gate to have some more light in the back of the motor so I can see what I'm doing when the nights draw in.
Has anyone fitted additional lights in the upper tail gate or in the boot?
I need to be able to see into the dog crates and generally have more light available as the dog crates cover the standard lighting up.
Any photos of current setups to give me inspiration most appreciated.

I used a 12v led kitchen unit downlighter in mine, tough, cheap, easily replaceable bulb and very bright.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Torch is fine until you've got both hands used up and need to talk at the same time.
Like the kitchen unit light idea. People have now posted on the narpy lights thread so got some inspiration from there. I want my lights in the upper tail gate though so I have a lit work station. 8)

Maybe some small button type LED lights. Not sure how much room is behind the trim though. You could also add a tilt switch so they come on when you open the boot.D4 MY15 SE TECH

Might even be worthwhile putting one under the bonnet for winter emergencies It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Probably a bit of an expensive option but i stuck one of these in. Have filled the curved gap with a bit of foam since. Comes on with interior lights or there’s a switch on it to isolate.

We have labcraft lamps in the fridge trailers at work, they go wrong quite often, but in their defence it is quite a harch enviroment.
We also have some labcraft down the side of the trailers acting as aux reverse lights and they go wrong even more often
Iirc they are liftetime warranty?
