Disco 4 V8 petrol
Looking to replace my 2009 Disco 3 diesel after 6 years of ownership.I have got it into my head that the replacement will be a Disco 4 but would like the 5.0 V8 petrol version.Must be right hand drive.Does anyone on this forum know of anyone that is importing these yet ?
My mechanic has one and it's so smooth, but is an ex mod vehicle and one mod sales state must be exported to non eu country.

I looked at exporting to Gibraltar when I was there but was thwarted by the arithmetic buy from a well known site, without VAT but faced wapping 35% duty in Gib unless I knew or acted as a dealer and then only 22%. Then looked at Morocco but 22% there I would have had to go to Mauritania to get nil add on. It is always possible to go to the darker side though.
There was some relief in that if it was RHD they automatically knocked off £4K. All things are possible and the system is open to abuse but they only value by Glass’s Guide. Imagine the discussion with HMRC when told I can buy exMOD sales Jaguar XF for £20k. They wanted to value at £30k but I could show them a website showing £18,950 they finally agreed it was possible after a behind closed doors debate coming out and asking if I could get them a LR Defender for themselves
The real difficulty lies in reimportingD3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)
D3 4.4 V8 Zambezi silver
D3 4.4 V8 Adriatic Blue
D3 2.7 (gone) Tonga Green
D3 4.4 V8 LHD Tonga Green

Check around and see if anyone is importing from Japan. That’s where a lot come in down here from, including mine. RHD, high spec, low kms and a really good price - but it will depend on what tax you guys have to pay of course.
Well worth it if you get one - the 5.0 Jag is unbelievable. I had the BMW 4.4 in a BMW sedan, and lots of Rover V8s in Discos, and this thing runs rings around them all.King of the typo.
MY11 D4 5.0 V8, Bournville, lots of goodies!
Now departed: '85 RR Vogue, '94 D1, '95 D1, '70 SIIA, '97 D1, '04 D2a. All V8, except for the SIIA - but that drank as much petrol anyway!
