Just been out in D3 and Red ABS light is staying on. Anyone know what to look for, if anything, before £75 an hour in the dealership ? Red Defender

Take a look at this thread.. If you are lucky it might just be the connectors underneath the seat. Mine needed the rotary coupler replacing, which Tesco warranty paid for.

I also had the Airbag light come on, coincidentally, at the same time as a variety of others ( which were down to a cut in some of the insulation sheaths ) but the Airbag light was down apparently,to a small securing bolt/screw which holds the two halves of a connection, which is under both front seats I understand, together and has a habit of working loose enough to cause the light to come on. PS You mention the red ABS?? light - we are assuming that you mean the Airbag light?

Hey I had the same problem but mine was a dirty plug in the drivers door.
It is just where the door opens and closes. If you pull off the rubber grommet and look for a flat connector I will see if I can find the picture on here. I just cleaned it up and all is fine.....

Thanks all for your input and help.
Played with all the wires and connectors as mentioned but no change, still got warning light. Took the car to an independant with auto logic, plugged in and checked fault codes. He didnt see anything that seemed too relevent so he just cleared all faults, light went out and has not returned. Seems that the fault may have latched the fault indication even after the fault cleared, my guess anyway.
Thanks again, hope it stays ok. Red Defender
