Air Con pipes removal ?

The air con saga continues - having got a quote to replace the pipes, service and recharge, at something more than I was expecting (£550) , I thought I'd perhaps do the pipes myself and then get a more 'normal' gas up Rolling Eyes

Had a gander under the beasty and it looks simple enough except.................how does one get the middle bracket off - it's behind the air reservoir and doesn't look easy (almost impossible ?) to get to. Has anyone got details of the procedure or some smart ideas as to how to get at his bracket.

Dealing with existing gas in the system is not an issue - there is none Shocked

Here's hoping...........

Steve

ps. Is it possible to put the car in extended mode ?? Gives me a bit more room to get the beer belly under Whistle

stick a block of wood under the chassis and lower susp.

when it goes into extended mode put 4 axle stands under the chassis...

did the mobile chap quote £550 ?? - expensive in Cambridgeshire - you should live in the south west Laughing

If I'd known I was going to be so thirsty this morning I'd have drunk more beer last night.

The mobile guy was much cheaper but somehow didn't come across as being particularly knowledgable about the D3 Sad

I'm hoping Nick (TLO) will come up trumps with the pipe and it's just (!) a matter of swapping out. The issue with the air reservoir is one I haven't found an answser to yet, the LR manual says remove it but that requires depressurising the suspension system and replacing the suspension pipe connectors/collars. I was hoping someone might have a whizzy way of doing it without that.

Thanks for the tip re extended mode Thumbs Up

Steve
