I think ford used them first in the Mondeo. You remind me of a younger me, not much younger mind...perhaps even a little older!

I stand to be corrected, but I don’t think anyone makes car seats which are truly “air conditioned”. A similar comment applies to the claims for glove boxes- they are normally slightly cooled by creating an air flow.
Old C and E class mercs had the rear air cond ducting so you could switch it between rear seat or cool the glovebox.
