Air suspension

Every morning when I start my D3 the vechile raises and levels. Is this normal?

Appreciate your comments as usual?

if by raise you mean go from access to road height then no. mine levels itself at the oddest times, usually when I've just opened the tailgate and am leaning in, can be alarming at times.

g'morning!

I would say yes it is. But only if its more of a re-leveling rather than a change of level all round?

whenever I leave y D3, it lets out a stream of air, even if I leave it in nomal height. It generally then re-levls itself on return.

I use Access hieght getting in/out most of the time - so notice it less.

I recall reading in some of the documentation that the system re-levels at regular intervals (every few hours? I can't remember) even while parked and key removed. Obviously, while the vehicle is unattended, this leveling can only happen by lowering one or more corners as the compressor is not available. Hence the raising to normal height as soon as it is started.

Thanks for the info, so all seems hunky dory! although still waiting for the dealer to establish that, yes, my cruise control really does keep dropping out!
