Air suspension 'Normal height only' help please

I have a 2011 D4. 3.0 l diesel and have the Normal height only issue.

Initially it could be cleared by switching everything off and it would go away.
After about a fortnight fault would come on about 30 seconds after engine start and not clear.
The next morning it was found sitting low on the bump stops.
At this point the compressor was timed and ran for about 9 seconds and then cut out at the same time as the normal height only message popped up. The toggle for access or off road height button dosent do anything
Checked all fuses and changed the relay but no change
After looking through the forum convinced myself it was the air drier issues but went mad and
bought a complete AMK compressor thinking this would cure all ills.
Eldest offspring kindly fitted new compressor unit yesterday but sadly no change apart from now if you press the toggle switch for off road height the compressor just runs and runs

Now at wits end as what to try next. Big Cry

C1A13 Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery

Hi Folks,

I've made some progress but not even more confused.
New AMK compressor fitted and now back to normal height with no faults showing and the up/down switch illiuminated. All is well and good until you try and go to 'access' or 'off road height' and you get the 'bong of doom' and the yellow warning triangle on the dash. The code reader then comes up with the C1A13 Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery. Fault then clears if you switch off the ignition and restart. Ive blown through exhaust line through and tht is clear. I ran a temp supply to the Pilot exhaust valve on the compressor and this sound to be operting ( clicking)
Any idea what to try next.

Also I'm confused why the galley venting issue comes up if you are trying to raise the vehicle. Why does it want to vent galley you need more air to raise the bags????

Thanks

Hi Narpy,

Thanks for this. As the exhaust valve is within the compressor which is brand new should I be sending it back ??

Secondly any info on how check if the exhaust solenoid is receiving a signal.

Regards

Neil

I think I'd start checking for a possible wiring issue within the looms locally to the compressor.
Your AMK might be ok but not receiving a signal due to faulty wiring. You're going to, at least, need to eliminate that possibility before removing parts and sending them back.
