Airbag light when seat right forward? |
|
Hi there,
Any suggestions as to why my D3 airbag light would come one when the wife has the drivers seat right forward? It’s an HSE with electric seats if that makes a difference.
Where would I start fault finding?
Thanks again...

I'd get the codes read to see what is recorded but at a guess perhaps the block connector under the seat is not seated correctly or the wiring is shorting - there are airbags in the seats - out of interest does the heated seat stop working when the light is on? Must stop buying shiny toys....

There is a block connector under the seat (IIRC it is light brown?), it is held together by a central bolt and attached to the seat frame.
Sometimes I have to seperate it and clean it other times it just needs a wiggle. I ought to take it out and do it properly but not a real problem so haven't bothered. Series 1 V8
Series 2 Hibrid V8
Discovery 3 HSE V8

Find the error codes / check the wires under the seat, some of them should be damaged.
