Hi,
I have disco 3 2006, and noticed some issue with the aircon. When econ button is on, aircon is still working. Sometimes it goes off, sometimes it goes on. I have a thermometer on the vents, and can notice it immediately. I'm suspecting the cables on the back, and will have time in the weekend to check, but meanwhile will appreciate any comments.

Its all electronic no control cables are per old motors, way over complicated for what it is, like all modern cars that have to have climate control.
Youtube search for variable displacement air con compressor.
Maybe you have low gas pressure? and the cars not happy hence powering on/off, to be honest Im just guessing.
Maybe worth having the codes read, hard reset or maybe a climate head reset if it can be done on the D3? again youtube will be a good start.
