My discovery's alarm goes off often when standing. For example in the garage, in the airport, on the company's parking. In most cases I am sure that nobody even touched the car.
Did anybody solve a similar matter?
Thanks for your replies in advance,
Karl

How good is your battery . Not sure if the D3 will be the same but on my defender the battery was dying and the alarm went off every time it detected the voltage drop

Have you got the Rosen DVD fitted ? if so the dealer needs to fit some bits of foam in the housing for the interior sensor as this was the only ' cure ' for mine that worked. It was a Land Rover fix so there should be a TSB somewhere Pot Noodle Challenge Winner 2011

No roosen DVD fitted
but
the battery showed today 12,4V which is quite low, isn't it?
Moreover it is not so cold anymore (-3 up to +6°C) so the battery might be performing much worse when the temparature dips well below zero....
Another indicator that the batery might be poor is that immediately after starting the in-dash display is very week and often, from what I can read, I see faults messages that immediately disappear.
I guess there is no guarantee coverage on a battery....

Our FL1 had an issue where the alarm would sound whenever a black cab rolled up beside us. The taxi companies in Edinburgh told us that it was a reccuring issue that taxi drivers were setting off Land Rover alarms... 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

to tell the truth, I don't dare to say no....
But a spider should not trigger any alarm... they are cold blooded animals.
Unless you have a spider living in the sensor itself, which happened to my alarm on the house ....

There is one way to isolate the interior sensor as a cause.... press the lock button twice, this will disable the interior sensor, if the alarm still activates, it's either a faulty switch (bonnet / hood switch?) or external influence

nope
My wife believes there's a ghost in the house. So maybe there's an alien in the car....
I believe that apart from spiders everywhere (in an average ,clean, house there are about 2000 pieces present) and marten in my garage, I believe there is nothing.

this morning the car was horning again in the garage.
I measured the battery and ir read 11.98V
Is this too low? It's pretty close to 12V i guess.
Any advise?

Yes i would say so ...13.8 volts is about the norm.
