Alarm going off

Hello all,
Recently my alarm has been going off randomly. It's becoming a real nuisance at home and at work. I am not getting a "Open Hood" or "Open Bonnet" message on my dash. I'm pretty sure all my doors are shut well and I've got a 4 month old battery in the beast. After reading other posts, I'm still not sure what it could be.

Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

try pressing the key fob twice when you lock it ..that will disable the interior sensors .

If it stops going off you know you have a problem with the sensors ...process of illimination

Hi Wiggs

Where is the sensor for the pick up? It always goes off when I am visiting a friend at a complex where there is a lot of cats, maybe they jume on the bonnet for a little warmth?

That was my conclusion.

Thanks Wiggs

Darn thing went off as I was typing this messgae, can you believe it?

There goes my theory about cats, there are not a cat in sight. Would a fly or a mosquito buzzing inside the cab set off the alarm?

The last 10 events (door, bonnet, etc.) causing the alarm to go off are stored in the CJB. You could drop down to your local dealer or independent and get them read out. If its the same event over and over again, then you have a lead...

Hi, did not realise that, so that means we do not need to worry about pressing the lock button twice if travelling on ferries.

Begs the question , which countries do get the tilt sensor and why ?, that is going to keep me awake tonight !
