Not all of the comments are as you suggest - some are more balanced.
One important difference to remember is that the (current) Scot Gov policy of paying for tuition fees for Scottish students at Scottish Unis significantly skews the distribution. Not many Scottish students would choose to pay (a lot) for a place in England when they can get it paid for up here.
I think the English system of dealing with the issue is more rational than that which has been adopted up here, with the addition of free appeals providing the safety net that was required.
Tough though it may seem, people have to accept that A and A* grades can not keep on increasing year on year - to do so just undervalues all that have gone before.Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE
