United Kingdom 2016 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux Auto Kaikoura StoneDiscovery 4

So to clarify that most dealers can tell if you have had your ECU remapped, I'm sure thats the first thing they check when it goes in for a service, you seen the kids that work at most main dealers?

Its a shame they can't rectify why my external temp gauge is 3 degrees out (they have not heard of any problems or updates) or why the internal one is intermittently up and down like a YOYO or why my spedo is 5MPH out most of the time. There is a slightly longer list but hey its a Discovery and it would not be any fun if it was perfect and there would not be a forum to moan on!

Any way if you want to get your "house" chipped or remapped whats the problem? Your car your risk. Most of us are 40-50 plus (age Laughing not waist size) I'm guessing, and still want a bit of fun in our lives.

0-60 in 7 seconds!!! come on I'm twitching at the thought. All those little Censored trying to burn you all the time?
Ive had a transit van Censored all over me in the D3 and on way back to UK ,in France, the other week I had a Fiat Ducato Van Flashing me to pull over lane at a ton plus in my MY16 SDV6!!! (No I'm not buying a van)

Or you could just get rid of the Disco and squeeze every thing in to a Golf or a Porsche or a SPIT SPIT BMW and look right Censored

Rant done MY16 HSE LUX may just have to come 'ALIVE' Bow down Bow down Bow down

I had my D3 remapped, but it was well out of warranty and was under 200BHP so needed it to make it really useable.

Whilst I may look at a remap for my D4, it would be more of an economical need rather than all out power, and definitely not whilst in manufacturers warranty, you just don't know what's going to happen on your next drive!

But each to their own, you pay your money and accept the risk!

Just watching Countryside 999 with the police pulling over a Discovery doing over 90mph on the A66.

The 'Alive Tuning' markings on the rear were very prominent!

Ah yes! I remember that episode from last years repeat. Laughing

Dont get me wrong its a good bit of free advertising however we do not condone speeding or breaking the law in any way shape or form. I put that down to one of our customers having a bit to much fun on the way home. Very Happy

yeh, but 90 is no problem for a standard D4, its doesnt need a tune to hit that, whereas 88 in a defner, well that needs all the help it can get Whistle

I need my D3 to be more responsive at the lower end of the scale. The delay in pressing the pedal for gas and actually moving is almost 2 secs now! Shocked

My disco is just coming up to 4 years old.
The web check says it's only the 210hp version, is it possible to take this to the 300hp point?

Not just Saxos, anything floating around circa 2.0 diesel (BMW, Audi, Merc)

That's far more enjoyable to watch their faces.

I had my DMS Disco map done over 3 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. 305BHP and you certainly know it.

I'm likely to have a D5 in the new year (SC Petrol as Diesel is not long for this world) and that maps to 400bhp. Win

But, just so we're all clear, the D4 soft limits at 117mph. It's capable of more but you really need to hang on for dear life
