Almond interior, how does it wear?

Any comments please from owners of D4s with almond interiors. I am wondering how they are looking after a few months wear & tear? All feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance, Ray

I've only had mine a month but it's still spotless. There was a little mark on it the other day that just wiped off easily. I like the fact that you can see any dirt to be able to clean it off.

I should point out that I don't have kids or dogs though!

Had ours for 8 months and 13,000 miles.

The interior is still spotless apart from some very slight discolouration on the drivers seat.
This, I assume, is from the many pairs of black jeans that I often wear.
I also assume that it will come straight off with some leather cleaner. (I haven't tried yet).

The carpets are still spot-on and don't show up mud like black does.

All 7 seats get used quite often so I'm not being over protective with the car either.

I have the Ebony not Almond interior but wanted to protect the seat leather so bought the LR Waterproof Seat Covers (current brochure) and can recommend as the fit is superb ~ unlike my previous D3's.

If we are going anywhere nice, just whip them off in 2-3 minutes and back on after.

After nearly 5k, I've found the same as most. It's pretty much spotless, apart from some darker colouration on the driver's seat, which I've never tried to clean off. Not really noticeable to be honest. Still very pleased with the almond choice, although I don't have kids (do have dogs, but they only stay in the boot)

I am glad I went for the rubber mats though, as I think the beige carpets would be pretty dirty by now.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Kids are grown up, and no dogs, so that helps! I need to finalise colours by early next week, so keep the thoughts coming!

Cheers,

Ray

Had mine since the end of October and it still looks 8) The drivers seat as with others on here has a slight tint to it but this is down to dark oloured jeans, am sure with a wipe over or some leather cleaner it would come off and look spotless. Love the colour so do the kids.

For leather seat cleaning and protection, try LTT leathercare, I have found it to be very good. You can order direct from their website.

So it's not just me but 13000 miles in and the drivers seat has a definite blue tinge to it from jeans. Haven't tried cleaning it yet but after the previous post think I will give it a go.
This is the first light interior I have had as always black before, only got it as it was a dealer stock car and didn't want a wait. I almost never went for it but then bit the bullet and actually like it now. Most scuffs and marks on the door panels come off with a bit of soap and water.

I have Ivory leather in my MY10 RRS. I wipe the driver seat with baby wipes ("sensitive skin" type) every week and the jeans blue dye comes straight off. It takes about 30 seconds. You need to do it regularly lest the dye work its way into the leather, so I keep a pack of wipes in the car.

I have the Almond trim and like others is beginning to show some discolouration. Had it since last November and use it most days for work (approx 1.1/2 hrs / day). Wearing a suit and not jeans. Rear seats get weekend use by the kids and they have some marks. Tried cleaning it a few times now with leather cleaner and it does improve it but its not like new. Probably left it too long before the first clean. Might try the regular baby wipe trick

Going to Iceland for 4 weeks with a car full of kids, that'll really finish them off!! :blub:

Take care with the baby wipes as this was our method of cleaning a cream leather sofa, the leather started to craze afer a while as if it had dried out or suffered some form of reaction. This only happened on the surfaces that we used the wipes on so that suggested that it was something in the wipes. Shame though cos they are really handy and make the job so simple.
