| Alternate tyre for those running RRS 19's |

For those of us running 19" RRS alloys, we've probably stuck with with the "standard" 19" tyre for the D3, that being a 255/55x19 111V.
But after running on 20's with a 295/45x20 tyre, its really nice to have a bit more tread on the road (suits the car as well, having slightly wider tyres).
So, a good mix I've found is a 275/50x19, rated at 112W XL (so OK for D3) Continental Premium Contact. Its 0.7% different (so less than the difference between a new and worn tyre).

Hi Al,
I am interested as I'm running the standard 19" wheel D3 wheel with slightly worn OEM Wranglers and a larger width tyre will fill the guards nicely. Do you have any pic's of what yours look like? I'll check with our dealers to see if they're available in OZ...

The standard D3 19" rim is 8" wide, so not sure about a 275 tyre on this. The RRS 19 is 9.5" wide, so a 275 is no problem on that.

OK back to the drawing board... But I like the idea of wider tyres..
 What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

Hmmm, you priced these up Al? Mytyres are lising this tyre at 257 GBP and that size goes up over 300 from the other tyre manufacturers  Cheers

found some at 112, but majority are 200 plus - I didnt say it was perfect, just an alternate
