sorry for being a bit dense .....but the screen showing 'Diagnostic Error Codes'....is that error codes for the sat nav? Or for the car.....
I'm assuming if I have faults on the car it needs plugging in to the 'little magic £35 a go' machine to tell me whats wrong?

In my sat nav there where several diagnostic error codes listed. I then pushed the delete button for like 5-6 sec, and all codes where deleted.
Have I healed a healthy car?? I have no clue what this "delete-procedure" actually does!?Land Rover - It Hurts So Good

Good to know;)
The PCB(Printed Circuit Board?) A/D(analog/digital converter?) shows a numerical 3-digit value. What is it? While driving the value decreases typically from ~ 400 to ~ 250.
And what does the Gyro info tell us?Land Rover - It Hurts So Good

It's called "the forum."
Like all databases, the challenge is finding the stuff that you really need.

It provides a heading readout. Haven't had the opportunity to determine 'which' heading but I suspect that it is referenced to True (geographic) North. GPS has no directional capability so the gyro will help dead reckon during signal outages.
I would like to hope that it is a 3 axis gyro, in which case it can also provide useful parameters such as pitch and roll angle, pitch and roll rate of change and maybe even g, snap, jerk, yaw, euler and lots of other geeky nav parameters that nobody is really interested in...

Not while stationary, but as soon as you move, it does (by seeing the change in location, with time).

Diagnostics
No matter where I press the screen (or how long for that matter) I can't get the diagnostic keypad to appear. I want it so I can check battery voltage....any ideas?
Thanks for a fab thread. Just been out to play with the diagnostic screens on the wife's '06 D3.
With the ignition on but engine off the battery voltage is 11.5 volts. Time for replacement?---------------

The battery voltage is not accurate ..it only workes in incruments of .5 ..so for example you wont see 11.8 v ..its either 11.5 v or 12v ..
Try it with the engine running ..after 30 seconds or so it should be upto about 13.5vG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
Thanks. Yes, it's up to 13.5v with the engine running - presumably that reflects the output from the alternator? I was under the impression that a healthy battery put out more than 12v though (and therefore would do with the engine switched off)?---------------

Wowww, such pretty cheats. However , I was pushing my finger almost through the screen but nothing came up
Is it not applicable for MY 2007 versions ?
